of ISDN
ISDN is a much advanced
and better technology than ordinary telephone lines. Some
of the advantages offered by ISDN over a standard telephone
line is:
- Much faster connection without the
need of dialing
- Download time gets reduced because
of higher bandwidth
- With this both internet surfing and
using telephone can e done at the same time.
- Newer technologies can be used with
this like videoconferencing
- Streaming video or audio without disruption
- Because it's a digital service, ISDN
offers excellent line quality compared to a rather noisy
analogue line.
- ISDN connections are made in typically
less than a second - unlike modems and analogue lines
which require 30 to 60 seconds before any data can be
transmitted.
- Voice, data and video can all be sent
over a single ISDN line
